District Technician Program

The District Technician Program is a federal, state, and local partnership that delivers natural resource conservation technical assistance to private landowners.

MCD provides landowners within our boundaries technical assistance for conservation planning and practice implementation to Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) standards - increasing local activity to address natural resource concerns and helping maximize USDA cost-share opportunities. Our technicians also undertake non-NRCS technical assistance, technical research, composition of technical pieces for education or grant purposes, and technical presentations at workshops or meetings for adults.

DCTs help landowners optimize irrigation systems, manage forested lands, adopt innovative grazing strategies, and much more. This unique partnership helps landowners utilize their resources more efficiently with their personal conservation goals in mind. It's a job that includes getting your hands dirty helping with project implementation or conducting inspections and getting to know the people in your community while helping them reach their goals.

If you need technical assistance or have questions/concerns about your natural resources, please contact us neva@mancoscd.org. We will be here to help in anyway we can!
